JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Chief Human Resources Officer

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Ad Populum is hiring an HR Generalist to support our warehouse team in Olive Branch, MS. The HR Generalist will be the onsite HR contact at this location for hourly associates, supervisors and operations leaders. The HR Generalist’s workload will include day to day HR operations, LOA’s, workers compensation claims, onboarding, employee relations, assisting in annual performance reviews, safety and more.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Work with Temp Agencies to fill warehouse openings including seasonal and peak-volume ramp-ups.
• Assist with job offers, background checks, I-9 verifications, new hire orientations including benefit overview.
• Answer basic benefit inquiries and provide support during open enrollment.
• Investigate employee concerns, complaints and policy violations while documenting outcomes.
• Coach leaders on performance management and progressive discipline.
• Support management during involuntary terminations and perform exit interviews during voluntary quits.
• Actively participate on the Safety Committee.
• Make oneself available and approachable for all employees.
• Assist with leave requests and employee injuries including filing workers compensation claims.
• Support employee engagement including event planning.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of HR experience in a warehouse setting.
• Working knowledge of federal and state laws.
• Strong communication skills when dealing with employees of all levels.
• Confidence in judgment skills during conflict resolution.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
