Providing strategic oversight for post-closing suspense and compliance issue management, the full-time remote Compliance Director will manage risk-based frameworks, oversee compliance processes, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of compliance and regulatory excellence. Key responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end post-closing suspense function, ensuring adherence to regulatory and investor requirements Govern the compliance issue lifecycle, including identification, remediation, and validation of corrective actions Produce executive-level compliance reporting to provide actionable insights into issue status and remediation progress Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience 7+ years of experience within a financial institution, preferably in a large or complex organization 5+ years of experience in risk management or consumer compliance related to mortgage originations Advanced knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including Dodd-Frank and RESPA Demonstrated proficiency in managing compliance issues and corrective action plans within a mortgage lending environment
